Bait-and-Switch, Unjustified Fees - Proceed with Caution Summary: I value and respect lawyers, but I also believe in fairness and ethics. My experience with Attorney Brad Giglio's firm was deeply disappointing--zero progress after three weeks, followed by a 39% deduction from my retainer for no legitimate work. I hired Attorney Brad Giglio's firm to assist with my father's immigration sponsorship. When I called the front desk person at the firm for free consultation, Brad was quick to take my call. I emphasized the time-sensitive nature of my case and asked whether his firm had the capacity to handle it without delays. He confidently assured me that they were fully equipped to proceed efficiently. However, once I paid the $3,500 retainer, everything changed. For three weeks, my only interaction was receiving a basic questionnaire--essentially a copy-paste exercise for the I-130 form. Despite multiple follow-ups, there was no progress. Brad became unreachable, and all communication was funneled through his secretary, Sylvia, who kept pushing my case further down the road. Frustrated, I terminated their services and requested a refund. Sylvia called back offering to file both the I-130 and I-485 for the same $3,500, instead of charging their stated $400/hour (attorney) and $200/hour (assistant) rates. By that point, I had lost all trust and declined. Two weeks later, I received a refund of only $2,134--meaning they deducted $1,366 (39%) for what? No legal work was done. Sylvia had even admitted they had done nothing yet but promised to "get right on it" just before I pulled the plug. So where did my money go? By their own rates of $400/hr and $200/hr for attorney and paralegal respectively, that would mean: A paralegal spent 6.83 hours on a basic questionnaire? Or An attorney spent 3.41 hours without ever speaking to me or filing anything? Or was I charged for their accounting department processing the refund check and mailing it? The delays have caused a lot of hardship for my parents because my step-mom has to wait even longer before my dad can eventually get his green card and sponsor his wife. As a result, my step mom of 70+ of age has to leave the country and be separated from my dad for even longer period while my dad has to wait in US and wait for his I-130 and I-485 to get processed. If Brad couldn't attend my case sooner, why was an ETA not give to set expectations? I hold an Engineering degree and an MBA and fully understand the value of professional services. I am not someone who nitpicks attorney fees--but charging 39% for nothing is unacceptable. I am sharing this review to warn others about my experience. If the firm chooses to refund the unjustified amount, I will gladly update my review. Until then, I strongly advise others to think twice before hiring this firm if they expect transparency, accountability, and actual legal work. Attaching logs of my calls for follow-ups and return calls to only tell me I have to wait and no details on how far if any progress was made (That would be if any real progress was actually made).

I would definitely recommend attorney Jose D. Gallardo and Mevorah and Giglio Law offices. They were professional with me and treated me with respect. Jose was calm and was able to answer all of my questions. He explained everything with great details and made difficult situations look easy. Thank you Jose!

Cynthia S.--from Steve's office--is one of the best paralegals that I've ever met! She's helpful and kind. Steve, of course, is great/is a great attorney!

They handled my divorce case well and they were always in contact with me at every step. Carol and Steve were great to work with.

I had an lawyer before Mr. Mevorah and he wasn't responding to my messages and as soon as I switched over to Mr Mevorah he was very helpful and he explained everything to me very well

Great job!! I would definitely recommend him and us them again. Prompt service and good staff.

Steve Mevorah handled a personal injury case for me , I was very satisfied with the results that his law office accomplished . Timely and concise comunication and friendly but serious people to do buisness with. I'm very Happy.

Attorney Mevorah worked diligently to bring my medical related lawsuit against a formidable opponent, and won. My questions were answered promptly and I was informed directly when actions were taken. I would recommend this law firm without hesitation.

Attorney Mevorah and his assistants, especially Cynthia, were persistent and compassionate. After several months of negotiations they obtained a settlement on my behalf. I highly recommend their services and thank them for their help.

Look no further for a team of legal experts to assist a mutitude of law suit matters. I engagged the firm to assist me filing a personal injury case against my homeowners association. Many told me good luck with that, Gregg. Bottom line there was 20,000 reasons I chose Mevorah and Giglio Law Offices to represent me.
